Go on a Plant Hunt and Win Prizes
Grab your phone or a camera and head outside for a family plant hunt. Using the chart you can download below as your guide, snap pictures of environmental challenges in your community as well as examples of where plants are part of the solution. Post your challenge-and-solution photos on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter with the hashtags #PlantHunt and #Sweepstakes for a chance to win prizes in the Plant Hunt Sweepstakes.
Prizes and Contest Rules
The Family Plant Hunt Contest is open to all families who have kids in 6th – 8th grade. (See the official rules for more details.)
To be considered eligible for entry, each entrant must post their photo (or photos) on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram along with the hashtags #PlantHunt and #Sweepstakes. The entrant may enter multiple submissions, each providing an additional chance to win. Entries posted on the social media account (or accounts) of a child will be required to have the Submitting Adult verify eligibility if selected as a winner.
Four (4) winners will be selected in a random drawing from among all the eligible entries received. The Winners will receive Scholastic credits of $50.00 each to purchase any items they wish from Scholastic.com. (See official rules for more details.)
Contest entries must be posted between April 1, 2019 and May 10, 2019 to be eligible for prizes.
